Painting and Decorating Technical Course

Course Details:

Gain practical, hands on skills in painting & decorating in just 2 weeks.

Over the duration of this course you will cover and practice the skills and techniques required to redecorate a room to a high standard using paints, patterned and plain wall papers on walls and ceilings. You will also cover preparing walls and wood for painting going on to apply emulsion, primer and gloss paints, learning how to use the correct brush and roller to get fast, even and straight results.

Gain practical experience within the following areas:

Health & Safety

Correct use of tooling

Burning off and applying acrylic paint

Introduction to accessing for painting and decorating

Stripping, repairing and crosslining for wallpaper

Preparing and bringing forward to an oil gloss finish

Preparing an area to receive vinyl silk emulsion

Business and customer advice

Demonstrations in pricing, estimates and invoicing

What do I need to bring?

Tools and overalls are provided for use within the training centre only. You may wish to purchase one of our tool kits and start to become accustom with the tools within the kit whilst on your painting and decorating training course. A mobile canteen sells a selection of hot and cold food at lunch time.
