Electrical Foundation Course
Course Details:
This foundation electrical course will give candidates with little or no experience the practical knowledge and experience in understanding electrics. The course is designed to give step by step practical training and allow you to gain a level of competency and a real insight into the world of an electrician and domestic installer.
This course will then allow you to move on to our other electrical training courses and aid with the assessments that come with these electrical training courses such as Part P and once registered with a competency scheme then go on to carry out electrical work legally.
Gain experience and understand of the following areas:
Safe Isolation
Stripping cable / Crimping
Work board based installation practice
Wiring basic lighting circuit
One way switching techniques
Looping out to additional lighting point
Identification of live conductors
Inspection & Testing
Wiring a spur circuit
Wiring power circuit

Who should attend:
Anyone interested in making the first steps in training to become a domestic installer electrician. Ideal pre Part P course.

What do I need to bring?
All tools materials are supplied for use within the centre. A mobile canteen sells a selection of hot and cold food at lunch time.
