Course Details:

This City and Guilds 2377 Pat testing course will help candidates carry out work or comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 which places a legal accountability on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and to take reasonable and practical steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of electrical equipment.

This requires a regular program of maintenance, inspection and testing. This course will enable delegates to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to instigate and implement a testing programme for portable electrical testing appliances.

This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to be involved in the inspection and testing of electrical equipment (e.g. portable appliances) and/or those involved in managing the process of it.

There are no formal qualifications to undertake this course.

To allow candidates to have a level of competency in PAT testing and carry out work to meet the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

What do I need to bring?

A copy of the IEE’s Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing electrical equipment. A mobile canteen sells a selection of hot and cold food at lunch time.
